Some bad foods are actually good for you

Many people are really concerned with what they eat and sometimes avoid eating any kind of food which may be considered disastrous. While searching online, i found this interesting article which listed some foods which people never eat which actually have some health benefit. I'm not saying sacrifice the healthy diet you currently have right now, but once you read this link: http://magazines.ivillage.com/redbook/dh/diet/articles/0,,284479_405329,00.html, you won't feel so guilty about yourself.

A new policy is already being put in place

As of this week, Bud Selig, the commissioner of Major League Baseball is trying to institute another policy because another player recently tested positive for performance enhancing substances. With the new policy Bud Selig wants to pass, it will ban a player for 50 days for the first offense, 100 days for the second offense, and a lifetime ban from baseball for a 3rd violation. This will make players think twice about using performance enhancers. Three strikes and your out. Check out this short movie i found on the Internet. It talks about dangers of steroid usage. New Proposal for baseball

As of today, Bud Selig, the commissioner of Major league baseball has proposed a new policy where if a violator tests positive for steroids three times, they will be banned from baseball for life. Its pretty harsh, but it might be the only thing that works. The players union still needs to approve of it first.

Breaking Plateaus

Every weightlifter inevitably hits what is called a plateau in which they see all of their gains in strength and size come to a complete halt. It is the most frustrating thing any one will probably encounter in their quest for the perfect body. To help prevent this from happening, I found this link :http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/topicoftheweek23.htm. I was stuck benching 310 for 4 months straight. I followed some of the tips they had, and my bench went up 15 pounds in the next month and i'm still making positive gains. Check out the calculator too. its pretty neat.

Ephedra is back or just not yet?

The very controversial diet supplement ephedra was banned two years ago after several people died from heart conditions associated with the drug. Most notable of these deaths was that of a Baltimore Orioles pitcher. Right now they are currently re-evaluation this drug and many experts predict this drug will be back on the market very soon. I used to use ephedra in high school to make weight for wrestling. In one summer, i lost over 25 pounds using it. Because it is basically speed, many people will abuse it just to get high. It really does create an invinceable feeling but it produces insomnia which sucks. This topic will probably be on television very soon because it is almost as controversial as the steroids issue currently is.
